Science Odyssey 2017 Was a Great Success Across Canada!

We would like to thank all those who participated - it truly was 10 days of discovery for Canadians everywhere.

Science Odyssey programming took place in science centres across Canada. Many of these programs allowed the public to learn and take part in the innovative research currently being conducted by NSERC funded scientists.

CASC increased the reach of some of these programs by collaborating with Partners In Research (http://www.pirweb.org/pir/en/). They organized webinars on some of these scientific talks and broadcast them to various schools, giving students an opportunity to participate in Science Odyssey from their classrooms.

One highlight of the event, was when Parliamentary Secretary, Kate Young and MP Nick Whalen visited the Johnson Geo Centre at the launch of Science Odyssey.

We look forward to seeing everyone’s continued participation in next year’s event!

The CASC office is situated in Robinson Huron Treaty territory and the land on which we learn and live is the traditional territory of the Atikameksheng Anishnawbek.
