The second annual International Science Centre and Science Museum Day (ISCSMD) on November 10 proved to be successful, with over 20 CASC members participating! We joined over 200 science centres and museums around the world, promoting the role we play in reaching the Sustainable Development Goals put out by the UN.

Collectively, members highlighted the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals with a variety of engaging activities. Some of our member science centres asked visitors to become citizen scientists for the day as part of a Global Science Experiment to collect information on mosquitos. Other activities that were part of the celebration included broadcasting of a global science show, and even the launch of a weather balloon!

The CASC office is situated in Robinson Huron Treaty territory and the land on which we learn and live is the traditional territory of the Atikameksheng Anishnawbek.
