Local teen refugees from Syria and Lebanon win award at robotics tournament

A group of Calgary teens, all recent refugees from Syria or Lebanon, are bringing home an award from a robotics tournament in Edmonton.

The teens, with the help of some dedicated mentors, worked for months to prepare their entry in the FIRST Robotics Competition — a tournament that saw a couple of dozen local teams competing at Edmonton’s Telus World of Science over the weekend. Read more
