Let's Talk Energy, the new award category this year supported by the Canada Science and Technology Museums Corporation for Best Energy Literacy Project

At their 10th annual Awards Gala held in Ottawa, Ontario, on May 5th, the Canadian Association of Science Centres (CASC) announced the 3 institutional and 2 individual winners of the CASCADE Awards, recognizing outstanding achievements in science and technology engagement by its members. Included this year was the launch of a new award for Best Energy Literacy Project, supported by the Let’s Talk Energy Initiative of the Canada Science and Technology Museums Corporation.

 

The Best Energy Literacy Project 2012 CASCADE supported by the Let’s Talk Energy Initiative of the Canada Science and Technology Museums Corporation was awarded to BC Green Games by Science World British Columbia.

Correction Notice

 

Please note that an error was made in the presentation of nominees in two categories at the awards gala. The Summer Institute for Elementary Teachers, produced by the Canada Science and Technology Museums Corporation (CSTMC), was erroneously included in the list of those nominated for the Best Energy Literacy Project. The project was in fact submitted to the Best Program category, and was judged in that category.

As the sponsor of the Best Energy Literacy Project award through its Let's Talk Energy initiative, the CSTMC would not consider nominating one of its own projects for this award. Our apologies for any confusion this presentation error may have caused.
