Bert Yeudall: The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal for Museum Community
The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal for Museum Community
The Telephone Historical Centre’s Executive Director, Bert Yeudall, was the recipient of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal awarded by the Canadian Museum’s Association (CMA) in April 2012. The CMA selected 37 individuals who had shown dedication and service to Canada’s museum community for a minimum of 25 years. Only two recipients came from Alberta, Mr. Yeudall and Janine Andrews of the University of Alberta museums.
Former Edmonton Telephones employee, Mr. Yeudall has been involved in the Telephone Historical Centre, both a science centre and a museum, since its beginning. For thirty-years he has been working tirelessly to develop, maintain, and promote the THC. He received the award after one of the museum’s volunteers nominated him for the honour.
