Welcome to Beyond the Blackboard!

 

Beyond The Blackboard is a bilingual educational consulting firm that develops engaging educational programs and materials for informal learning organizations such as museums, non-profit organizations, government agencies, festivals, and education-minded businesses.  Our aim is to seamlessly integrate the learning that takes place on field trips into the formal learning environment.

Josée Lebel, owner of Beyond the Blackboard, is a bilingual educator with over 15 years of educational programming experience in schools, museums, and science centres across Canada.  She combines her classroom teacher experience with her informal learning expertise to provide organizations with unique insight as to the challenges and   opportunities of developing educational programs in informal settings.

We are excited about the opportunities that a membership the CASC will lend us, including networking, partnering with like-minded businesses  and organizations, as well as professional development.  Sharing philosophies and discoveries provides all those involved with a renewed sense of purpose and excitement.  We look forward to this new affiliation!
