Funding available to support science and/or technology internships!

 

(Ottawa, Ontario) – Now is your chance to gain exposure to bright young science and technology grads, while ensuring the future health of the natural resources sector – all while benefiting from internship funding support.  It’s all part of the Canadian Association of Science Centres (CASC) Science Interns Outreach Project* and runs until March 2011.  The program provides an opportunity to recent graduates in science or engineering to gain meaningful work experience within their field of studies.

Any non-profit, for-profit or non-federal government organization can participate. It’s easy to apply and the response time is on average less than two weeks from time of application submission. In return, you can receive 50% of an intern’s salary (up to a maximum of $1,100 per month) between now and March 31, 2011. The deadline for applications is October 15, 2010.

The goal of the CASC Science Interns Outreach Project is simple: allow recent science or technology graduates to acquire relevant work experience and professional skills that, in turn, contribute to a stronger, more experienced and more innovative natural sciences sector. The internship offers another benefit to employers. You’ll have the opportunity to work with highly qualified young talent without a long term commitment – unless you decide you want one.
