A new partnership agreement between Molior and the Montréal Science Centre

A new partnership agreement between Molior and the Montréal Science Centre
Montréal, April 29, 2010 -
Molior is delighted to announce the signature of a three-year strategic alliance with the Montréal Science
Centre (MSC). The agreement will yield many projects that unite media arts and science. It stems from the
success achieved by previous collaborations between the two organizations, with such events as the Rotation
X-trême show (2005) and Festival Eurêka! (2009).
The interdisciplinary approach promoted by the partnership will fuel fruitful, mutually beneficial exchanges.
A culture that encourages the growth of critical thinking and socially responsible engagement in current issues
is built on a combination of scientific, technological and artistic skills. Future joint efforts by Molior and the
MSC will foster the emergence of enlightened young researchers and artists who are ready to take over the
challenge of producing scientific knowledge, technological development and innovative creations.
About Molior
Founded in 2001, Molior’s mission is to produce media arts shows and works, and exhibit them in Canada
and abroad. Molior has produced almost thirty exhibitions and introduced about fifty artists to the local,
national and international scene. One focus for development in recent years has been showing Canadian new
media arts projects abroad, in places like Brazil, Peru and China, alongside other major producers such as
MoMA (United States), V2 (Netherlands) and ZKM (Germany), to name but a few.
About the Montréal Science Centre
Renowned as a major science and technology attraction, the Montréal Science Centre is Québec’s first
