Science North has launched their first ever Science North-produced planetarium show, Under the Same Stars: Minwaadiziwin.

The planetarium show was developed in partnership with Indigenous people from across Northern Ontario and uses Indigenous worldview to understand the common constellations visible in the night sky and the Anishinaabe stories that define them.

This project was made possible due to Ontario150 funding from the Ontario Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport.

Northern Ontario audiences will also experience Under the Same Stars: Minwaadiziwin as Science North’s outreach team tour the show in two portable planetariums to over 55 communities throughout Northern Ontario, with a focus on Indigenous audiences.

The Northern Ontario planetarium tour started in April and will continue through mid-October.
