The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Canadian Heritage, announced an investment of $2.7 million to relocate the Musée Armand-Frappier, Centre d'interprétation des biosciences, to the Cosmodôme site in Laval.

Granted by the Government of Canada through the Canada Cultural Spaces Fund, this funding will enable the Musée Armand-Frappier to better meet the needs of its clientele by offering the public larger, more accessible spaces and by welcoming more school groups. Thanks to this project, the City of Laval will also be able to enhance the region's cultural offer and consolidate its science-based museum attractions.

"The stakeholders of the Musée Armand-Frappier are delighted with this grant, which will allow the municipality to complete the financial package required to equip the Museum with new facilities. We have been working enthusiastically for some time now to define this great project, which will see the Museum transform into an Armand-Frappier BioCentre. We are confident that these new facilities will provide an enhanced experience for our visitors, with the opportunity to explore the infinitely large at the Cosmodôme and the infinitely small at the BioCentre, while maintaining the human-scale educational approach that characterizes our institution." - Ms. Guylaine Archambault, Executive Director, Musée Armand-Frappier, Centre d' interprétation des biosciences
